Hey folks! My wife, Leslie, has started a new Statewide homeschooling group based out of Chittenden County that I think lots of y'all would be interested in. Check out the description below, and if you're interested in joining, click the link, create an account and get connected!

Group description:
A new and growing group of imperfect mothers and their children coming together to share fun, joy, curiosity, and support. Based out of Chittenden Co. but we go all over our wondrous state. We have regular in-person meet ups starting in a few weeks. As your leader, I believe it is our goal as human beings to grow into our best selves through this crazy ride called life. What do you think? Let’s share ideas. As the group is in its infancy stages, there are no limits to what we can create together. There is only one Vermont, so we seek to immerse ourselves in the abundance of nature we have and seek to live in the moment! All are welcome to share ideas or passively participate. We seek to organize all age Forest school days, shared units of study, themed gatherings, art meet ups, science tinkerings....etc!
Travis, this is amazing and I'm going to share with a few lonely families I know, who are looking for this deeper connection. I'm also very interested in working with you and your wife to work with curriculum and perhaps, even teaching myself!! There are so many of us with abundance of knowledge, wisdom and (extraordinary!) strengths. Exciting times~
Hey! Just saw this post and am very interested in getting involved. I created a profile on wild and free and am hoping to gather some more info on this? I have a 3.5 yr old and a 10 month old is this something that we would be able to participate in?
Thanks so much for putting something like this together!

Hi : ) about to be moving up to the Washington area from south jersey over the summer and would love to be a part of this wild and feee group. I loved ainsley’s book, read it last summer and it was so calming and encouraging. Have been wanting to be a part of a Wild and Free community for a while now, stoked it may happen up in VT!
Welcome to Vermont, Erikadeyna! Tell us more about yourself and family? If you are moving to Washington County from South Jersey you will be plenty wild soon enough! Where in Vermont? It's a fairly spreadout state because of the mountain ranges. Peace~
@suz seymour Yes we are moving to the Washington area, pretty much equidistant from chelsea and Washington. Very excited to be more wild and free! I have a 6 year old daughter and an almost 4 year old son. Our plan has always been to homeschool since getting pregnant with Mazzy 7 years ago and we are so happy with that plan : ) The opportunities we will have up there to incorporate nature into our everyday even just on our property are so so exciting!! We currently live in a little beach suburb with a wonderful community that has remained pretty untouched throughout the whole Covid mess. Other than our playground being ripped off for a while we have barely felt the shift in tide around here and everyone is free to be as they want. It’s been such a huge blessing and I am a bit heavy hearted to leave in terms of that but I know the we are going to make connections with people up there who share so many more of our core values than we could around here, so that potential is balancing out my nervousness of leaving this little bubble. My mom lives in Philly and the energy there is pretty brutal when it comes to freedom. Anyways I’m rambling lol.. we are so so stoked to get up there and start exploring and creating adventures, and hopefully getting to make some sincere connections with a community of like minded people : )
@erikadeyna hello! Where are you moving to? Definitely looking to connect with like minded families get kids together to play etc. and we live in Warren. When will you be making the move?
